WATCH D.O.G.S.

About The Watch D.O.G.S. Program:

The national Watch D.O.G.S. program is a one-of-a-kind school-based, father involvement initiative that works to support education and safety on school campuses.  Fathers, grandfathers, step-fathers, uncles, and other father figures volunteer to serve at least one day a year in a variety of school activities as assigned by the school principal or other administrator.  To learn more about the national Watch DOGS program, please click here

Dads Club

Dads, Grandfathers Uncles, father figures: join Heights Dad's Club to get involved in our school. An involved dad is a positive role model for our students demonstrated by their presence that education is important.

Dad's Club helps out with many programs, beyond Watch D.O.G.S.:
  1. Dads at the Door: morning drop-off - opening car doors, monitoring the crosswalk and managing traffic
  2. Bike to School Day - serve drinks, snacks, activities
  3. Garden Work Days - help maintain the gardens
  4. Spring Carnival - help set up and take down
  5. Field Day - help the P.E. Coach at one of the stations
  6. Teacher Appreciation Week - deliver breakfast to staff
  7. Library Reader - read to a class in the library
